Do you go forward or just sit there and do nothing? Do you plan? Would that be working in the flesh or would it be Godly wisdom? I got help from Proverbs 21:31 "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord." What I concluded was that you do plan but lay your plans before the Lord to do as he wishes.
Also in the New Testament Paul writes to the Romans that he had planned many times to visit them but had been prevented from doing so.
Love and Grace,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9405828.post-1136553817521761942006-01-06T13:23:00.000+00:002006-01-06T13:23:00.000+00:00Thanks Chris, fab post. I sometimes find myself agonising over my budget and then realise that maybe I just need to step my faith up a bit! God is so amazingly gracious and wonderful, I sometimes picture him standing by me waiting for me to go, ah yes, there you are! To which I think he tends to laugh!!

Have a fab time in Glasgow and if you speak to your lovely lady, tell her to check her mail if she has time!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9405828.post-1136551334490819952006-01-06T12:42:00.000+00:002006-01-06T12:42:00.000+00:00Thank you, Ian.I was originally going to include t...Thank you, Ian.

I was originally going to include that scripture in this post, but didn't get round to it. I'm glad I didn't now, because you put the case very succinctly, and with a fresh angle to me too.Chris Hamer-Hodgeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15680998868164693275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9405828.post-1136541402961330192006-01-06T09:56:00.000+00:002006-01-06T09:56:00.000+00:00Excellent post Chris. It is something that has challenged me recently but from a different passage, Psalm 127:1:

Unless the Lord (Spiritual) builds the house, those who build it (Practical) labour in vain.
Unless the Lord (Spiritual) watches over the city,
the watchman (Practical) stays awake in vain.

Practical steps are always required, but without God's involvement they're a waste of time!

Thanks for your insights, it's always good to see another angle on some revelation recieved!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
